The DVD Corner

This film is lovingly and assuredly put together. Director Neten Chokling does a fantastic job of visually representing the struggle and the movement from the darkness into the light that Milarepa experiences. And having a cast and crew who are Buddhist monks from a monastery on the Tibet/India border only adds to the sense of purpose that this film gives off. You certainly don’t to be a Buddhist to appreciate the messages in the film, however, as its story of peace and forgiveness are worthy messages for people of any culture to hear.
